3 Card Poker Rentals
How to Play
Three Card Poker is a simplified version of traditional poker played with a standard 52-card deck. Here’s how to play:
Setup: Each player places an ante bet on the table to start the game. Optionally, players can also place a Pair Plus bet, which is a side bet on whether they will be dealt a pair or better.
Dealing: Each player and the dealer are dealt three cards face down.
Decision Time: After looking at their cards, players have two options:
a. Fold: If a player folds, they forfeit their ante bet and end their participation in the hand.
b. Play: If a player decides to play, they must place a Play bet equal to their ante bet on the table.
Dealer’s Hand: After all players have made their decisions, the dealer reveals their hand. In order to qualify, the dealer must have at least a Queen high hand. If the dealer’s hand does not qualify, players who have placed Play bets receive even money on their ante bet, and their Play bet is returned as a push.
Comparison of Hands: If the dealer’s hand qualifies, the player’s hand is compared to the dealer’s hand:
a. If the player’s hand is higher than the dealer’s hand, the player wins even money on both the ante and Play bets.
b. If the dealer’s hand is higher than the player’s hand, the player loses both the ante and Play bets.
c. If the player’s hand ties the dealer’s hand, both the ante and Play bets push (are returned).
Pair Plus Bet: The Pair Plus bet is based solely on the player’s hand and does not compete against the dealer’s hand. The payout for the Pair Plus bet depends on the strength of the player’s hand, with higher payouts for stronger hands like a flush or straight flush.
Optimal Strategy: The optimal strategy for Three Card Poker involves only playing hands that are Q-6-4 or better (meaning a hand that includes at least a Queen, a 6, and a 4 or higher). Following this strategy maximizes the player’s chances of winning in the long run.
Three Card Poker is a fast-paced and straightforward game that is easy to learn and offers players the chance to win big with a strong hand. It’s a popular option in both land-based and online casinos due to its simplicity and exciting gameplay.
